Me Or The World?
Me Or The World?
Would you like to change the world or would you like the world to change? There is a huge difference between the two. Each one involves a different type of mindset and character. Each would reap different results and benefits. So what would it be?
I got a question for you. If you want to change the world, who do you begin with, yourself or others? Would you start changing “me” or try to change the world all by yourself even if you’re not ready or well equipped yet?
So if you’re broken up, an alcoholic or a drug addict and your mission is to make the world a better place, do you think that would make sense? I’m pretty sure no one would want to cooperate with someone like that. If we want to change the world, we need to be ready.
If anything is to be made, something that involves massive change with a lot of people, it all starts with you first. We can’t expect the world to change for us, but the universe expects us to change with it. Time moves forward whether we like it or not. Rich or poor, famous or not, we can’t do anything about it. That’s just how the universe flows. It’s energy moves forward without stopping. It’s important that we flow with it. Not against it nor through it, but with it.
For a leader to be a leader, one has to be on the up and up. A leader can’t be depressed and try to motivate people. A leader has to be really pumped up to the point they have no idea where this energy came from, and then motivate people. The people wouldn’t motivate the leader. That’s just not how it works. It’s the leader who’s supposed to motivate the people. So for the world to change, we must first change ourselves. Let’s work on the “me” first, then eventually, the “we”.
Me Or The World?
If we begin with ourselves and do the things we need to do and become the best person we can be, we have a much better chance of changing the world for the better.
Changing the world around us is a great thing to do. It’s a noble and amazing task at hand. However, it’s never easy. Things will go wrong in the journey moving forward. It’s a tough world out there and this time, it’s reality. People who want to change the world need to be well equipped. From the personality, character, plans, skills and many many more. A person who isn’t well equipped will only fall and give up at the first sight of a challenge or obstacle. That’s the last thing the world needs. The world doesn’t need to keep their hopes up on a leader and eventually the leader bailing out at the first sight of trouble and hardships.
Me Or The World?
Definitely work on “me” first. Once the “me” is nurtured and strengthened, it’s definitely time for the world to get in the picture. Everything that’s needed to make a strong positive impact on this world starts with us. Everything we need is within us. All we have to do is to grow and come out stronger as an individual.

Thanks Pete, for a great article
Yes, simple and powerfully put
in order to have influence over others
we must have influence over ourselves..
so I think it starts with DOING the Activities
we said we were going to do, even when Nobody
is Looking….:)
Success…begins with Me!!
Thanks!
You’re welcome, Pat. By the way, that’s Pete (Pj)…not me (Dad). I’m just sitting here fascinated with our 2 young men: Pj and Sean.
Now, we have a 3rd one coming up: Ashton. He’s also an interesting one. He has a You Tube video where when he was 3 years old, he finished
a memory game in the computer in a little over 3 minutes…on his own. Look it up. Ashton’s turning 5 this coming September. We’ll get him
started at 8. That’ll break Sean’s record. Be blessed…ALWAYS, Pat. Nothing but POSITIVITY!!! That’s my angle. Thanks for visiting us.
