Sean’s Thoughts For the Week Ahead-5
The Psychology Of A Winner:
Yes. Sean is a consistent honor student. This is his 18th quarter in school and he has been an honor student for 17 of those 18 quarters. Last year, when he was in the 3rd grade, he came home one day and casually said he joined the Math Club (Voluntarily! Now, who does that?!) and that he was elected the Vice President of the club. Pretty cool.
One trait I noticed he has even before we started his mantra is his overflowing self-confidence. I remember a situation where there was an argument between him and his Mom. There was a big test coming up and his Mom was drilling him on the subject. He kept saying he already knew the material and he wants to play already. They kept going back and forth until finally she said, “Ok. You’re on your own. Good luck.”
The next day, he came home and casually put his test paper on the table in front of his Mom. Sure enough…perfect score. He always believes in himself and executes well as far as I can remember and that, is a Psychology Of A Winner.
In case you missed Sean’s mantra, which we shared on our last post, we decided to share it again. In fact, we’ll share it every week for the new visitors. Check them out again. It’s not just a mantra that he reads, it’s who Sean is. It’s something he recites to himself in front of a mirror consistently on a daily basis that just pumps him up. Sean is very consistent with this. He reads this in the morning before he brushes his teeth, and at night after brushing his teeth before bed time.
1. I like myself!
2. I’m a winner!
3. I love myself!
4. Daddy loves me!
5. Daddy’s proud of me!
6. I’m handsome!
7. I’m a good boy!
8. I’m the best!
9. I’m happy!
10. My family loves me!
11. I’m very smart!
12. I’m cool!
Sean’s Thoughts For The Week Ahead:
(1) “Sharing is good but don’t depend on others too much. Learn how to bring your own stuff.”
(2) “Don’t be jealous about others because God made us all different. We are all unique.”
(3) “Don’t tell GOD what you’re going to do. Show HIM.”
(4) “Don’t be shy to help others especially if they do something wrong. You could save a lot of people.”
(5) “Don’t do bad things to other people because they will do the same to you and you will not like it.”
(6) “The prize of following God’s rule is having a good life.”
(7) “Material things that are really special to you cannot stay forever. So don’t be too close to material things.”
Sean’s Video Of The Week:
In “Sean’s Video Of The Week” segment, we’re asking him to watch this video once a day for the next 7 days. Next week will be a different video. You can do the same if you’d like to take the journey with us. We’re both doing it ourselves with Sean too. Like we said before, we already know what happens when kids are exposed to negativity. We’re strategically exposing him to positivity. We already know what will happen. We’re just excited to see how far and how fast he will go. He’s our live experiment and this blog is our laboratory. Let’s take the journey with our young man, Sean Zafra. I don’t think this has ever been done before. If it hasn’t been, then we’re excited and proud to be the first ones to do this. I know for sure Sean will thank us a lot for all of these.
The video below shows greatness in the making. Brian Bradley knows exactly what he wants, he believes in them beyond belief, and he executes with extreme confidence. Because of these traits, he will accomplish everything that he envisions for himself. Let’s watch and learn.
