You’re The Problem… You’re The Solution

Murphy’s Law states that “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.”. Well, that’s very true! There’s no doubt about it. Things always go wrong. That’s just how life is and is God’s way to add some spice, drama and variety in life. We all need it. Without it, life would be the same ol’ crap. Wake up, do this, do that, eat and sleep 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Sounds boring doesn’t it?

Anyways, when things do go wrong, what do you do about it? Do you point the finger and blame this guy and this girl and the weather and your bed and your boss, your wife or your husband? Is that what you do? Or do you stand up and admit your mistake. You see it, analyze it and learn from it.

There are tons of people including my old self, when things went wrong, I was either scared or too immature to admit a mistake. A mistake that if you carefully analyze, it can root back to yourself. However, most would blame someone or something else to feel better and get the guilt off. Now I’m sure I’m not the only one here. Some of us just get sidetracked and frustrated every now and then that blaming someone or something feels way better than dealing with the stress and responsibility a mistake has.

That is not healthy! That is not right! It is wrong. As human beings, we all make mistakes. Now for us to become a person that people will love, playing the blame game just won’t help at all. In fact, people will start avoiding you because they already know that when things go wrong, you’ll be the first one to abandon, leave and wash their hands if you know what I mean. A true friend will stay no matter what. Whether it’s your fault or your buddy’s it doesn’t matter. Every single relationship whether for fun, romantic or business goes through tough times. It’s how they deal with it, evaluate it and take action on it which makes the relationship stronger and move forward.

Most people feel comfortable or better when they know that they can get away from something. When things go wrong, just admit it and pay the price for it. That’s the right thing to do.

One of my favorite and all-time best rapper, Tupac Shakur once said:

“I was born to make mistakes; not to fake perfection.”

That is very true! We are not perfect. In fact, the more mistakes we make, as long as we’re not stupid, drunk or drugged up, we learn, get stronger and get better and better at what we do. Mistakes are not meant to break us as individuals; they’re meant to make us into who we really are. It’s a way for us to bring out our true potential. That’s why when a mistake is made, stand up for it, do something and be proud.

The only way we can solve a problem is if we admit it and do something about it. Just like the title of this blog post says:

“You’re The Problem… You’re The Solution”.

Everything we need in life is within us. I’m not talking about material possessions, I’m talking about the drive, motivation, passion and the action we can take to get what we need in life.

If you’re not willing to admit your mistakes, then you’re not willing to fix your mistakes. Now a simple mistake can harm or hurt other lives. That’s why it’s important to deal with it. If it’s your fault, don’t drag others into it.

Be a soldier. Admit your mistakes, listen, learn and be the solution. We can circle the world a million times and the solution isn’t there. We can pay thousands of dollars to Tony Robbins to be our life coach, but what he does is awaken those traits, virtues and spirit that get us to become individuals to live a better life.

It’s all within us. The choice is yours.
