One more edition for this classic meeting of Hifi and Home Cinema. The Espace de la Technologie trade fair, a point of sale like no other located in Amboise (Indre-et-Loire), returns this Friday 2 and Saturday 3 December. These open days will be an opportunity to discover, in two dedicated auditoriums, a magnificent audio and video selection.
The first auditorium will feature Focal and Naim equipment. The prestigious range of Utopia loudspeakers will be at the center of attention, with Maestro Evo listening and Scala Evo on display, two splendid and luxurious columns carried by the best of the French manufacturer’s technology.
The Utopia range will not be the only representative of Focal. Indeed, the very ambitious Sopra range (with Focal’s mythical beryllium tweeter) will also be present in this auditorium, a Sopra N°3 being promised to listen. The rest of the catalog has not been forgotten since it will be possible to admire the Kanta, Aria series and even the very accessible Chora range.
Each tuned model will be powered by a beautiful Naim NAC 282 and Naim NAP 300 DR duo. The NAC 282 is a versatile, high-end preamplifier, powered by advanced digital control and audio stages that can be boosted by a range of Naim external power supplies. The NAP 300 DR stereo power amplifier is another fine creation from the manufacturer. It is an entirely dual-mono model, from the power supply to the output stages. Indeed, the device comes with the 300 PS module, which allows the two channels of the amplifier to be powered completely independently. The NAP 300 DR incorporates high-end 007 output transistors, allowing it to achieve 90 W per channel into 8 ohms and sustain impedances down to 2 ohms for extended periods. To complete the experience, the two devices will be associated with a high-end dSC Rossini streamer/DAC.
The second auditorium promises an atmosphere equally audiophile. The Sabrina speakers from the American manufacturer Wilson Audio will be available for listening. These three-way pyramid-shaped columns incorporate certain technologies from the High-End Chronosonic XVX references, such as the use of X-Material composite material for the cabinets, or the Convergent Synergy MK5 tweeter with silk dome.
These speakers will be powered by the E800 stereo integrated amplifier from the Japanese manufacturer Accuphase. This creation, one of the most beautiful in all-in-one version from the manufacturer, operates in pure class A, via a six-fold push-pull architecture of high-end MOS-FET transistors from Fairchild. One of its strengths is also its volume management, ensured by a VI (voltage-current) converter with 16 switches. The source will be provided by a Hifi Rose streamer/DAC.
This configuration will not be the only one present in the second auditorium, since it will play alternately with a home cinema set, whose piece de resistance is the Sony VPL-XW5000 laser projector in native 4K, accompanied by the Reavon UBR-X200 UHD player. . The audio part will be provided by a Denon AV amplifier, combined with speakers from the On Wall 300 series by Focal.
In addition to these two auditoriums, a third listening point will showcase the range of Cambridge Audio CXN electronics, combined with a set of Monitor Audio loudspeakers. Lovers of listening to headphones will not be left out, since the various Hifi models from Focal will also be on display, connected to the dedicated Naim Atom Headphone amplifier.
The demonstrations will take place on December 2 and 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
