SHENZHENChina, September 14, 2022 /CNW/ – Amy, a popular Australian video blogger, recently visited the birthplace of one of China’s most famous teas, Tieguanyin. The video of Amy was filmed in the tea fields and manufacturing plant of Bama Tea Co., Ltd. (known as “Bama” or “Bama Tea”) in Anxi County, Fujian. In the video, Bama Tea shows how modern technology is revolutionizing the millennial tradition of tea making. So far, the video has attracted tens of thousands of viewers seeking to learn more about the Chinese tea industry and modern methods of smart garden management.
Throughout the video, modern technology is used at every stage of tea growing and manufacturing in the fields and factory in Bama to ensure consistent quality and production efficiency.
Bama Tea’s field manager showed Amy some of the automated systems used in the fields and production, including high-powered cameras to monitor the condition of the tea fields remotely, and a weather station capable of measuring precipitation, sunlight, air quality, soil temperature and humidity. Amy also noticed small solar panels dotted around the fields that store energy during the day and emit blue light at night to ward off pests.
Besides the high degree of monitoring and pest prevention in the field, automation is a major part of tea processing. For impurity removal, the Bama Tea factory uses a fully automatic infrared sorting system with electrostatic impurity removal equipment and a metal detector to help effectively remove trace impurities in the raw tea and produce a higher quality product.
A large number of intelligent robots are used in tea packaging and transportation, reducing personnel and saving time, while decreasing contact between human hands and tea.
Here is Amy’s statement, about the use of technology: “I find it so fascinating because tea, as a concept, has been around in China for over 1,000 years without much change. But in recent decades, thanks to new technologies and scientific advances, things have improved significantly. »
In the comments section, viewers also revealed their surprise at the level of automation. One said, “It’s really enlightening and eye-opening to see how state-of-the-art Chinese tea factories are and how robots are commonly used in the production line.” Another netizen said, “It is good to see how China has managed to apply technology to improve lives. »
