Chelsea employ Badiashile for 7 and a half years!

It’s been in the pipeline for the past few weeks, it’s now official. French international centre-back Benoit Badiashile is leaving AS Monaco to join Chelsea Blues. According to the latest information, the deal would be around 38 million euros for the 21-year-old player. If he does not qualify for Thursday night’s summit clash against Manchester City, he could already feature in the Blues’ squad for the second clash between the two sides this Sunday in the FA Cup. He also joins a club that still plays in the Champions League and will face Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16. A great way to showcase the Frenchman with a view to a potential new selection for the French team. He joins two other French players at Chelsea: Wesley Fofana and Ngolo Kanté.

Since the start of the season, Benoit Badiashile has been a slightly lesser starter for the Principality. The player trained at the club, who made his debut at the club in 2018 when he was only 17, played 11 games in 2022-2023 in the league, to which we can add five Europa League games. He still scored two goals and had his very first selection under Didier Deschamps for the French team.
