Google faces $25.4 billion damages claims in UK and Dutch courts over adtech practices

BRUSSELS, Sept 13 (Reuters) – Alphabet unit Google (GOOGL.O) faces damages claims of up to 25 billion euros ($25.4 billion) for its adtech practices in two lawsuits filed in UK and Dutch courts on Tuesday by a law firm on behalf of publishers.

“It’s time for Google to take responsibility and repay the damage it has caused to this important industry. That is why we are announcing these actions today in two jurisdictions to seek compensation for publishers in the EU and UK,” Damien Geradin of Geradin Partners said in a statement.
