Google: Google Chat Deploys Ability To Send Multiple Photos, Videos At Once

Google has rolled out the ability to send multiple photos and videos simultaneously through its chat.

You can now select multiple images or videos at once when sending a message in Google Chat.

This feature is now available on iOS devices and is rolling out to Android devices.

“You can attach files up to 200MB from your computer, mobile device or Google Drive directly to Google Chat messages,” the tech company said in its update.

The Google Chat media picker will let users pick up to 20 photos and videos to send in one go.

The tech giant has already announced that it is now beginning the process of migrating free and personal users from Hangouts to Chat.

The company mentioned that users who want to keep a copy of their Hangouts data to use Google Takeout – to download their data before Hangouts becomes unavailable in November this year.

Google said the move to Google Chat will allow users to edit documents, slides, or sheets with side-by-side editing, making it easier to collaborate while keeping the conversation going. It also includes Spaces, a place dedicated to thematic collaboration.
