The application available on Android and iOS will no longer be supported in March 2023. The 360° visualization tool will continue to exist within Google Maps.
A new addition to the Google product graveyard, but the spirit of Google Street View lives on. Launched in 2015, the application dedicated to consulting immersive 360° views of Google Maps will be referenced in March 2023.
According to a Google spokesperson interviewed by The Verge, the removal of the application from the Play Store, App Store and others was expected to happen in the coming weeks. However, this will not impact the ability to view an address or location in 360° from Google Maps. In addition, contribution for 360° images will still be possible via Street View Studio.
Google Maps continues to evolve on this point by offering a new immersive view, bringing together the ground images offered by Street View and other photorealistic aerial views.
