The City of Nicolet unveiled Monday its brand new heritage circuit created as part of its 350e founding anniversary.

Nine interpretation panels have been installed in as many key places of local history. Among these are the Séminaire wooded area, the Rodolphe-Duguay house and studio, the Joseph-Duval wharf and the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption college.

This course is paired with a digital component designed under the coordination of Shawinigan’s DigiHub, as project manager Claudine Drolet explains.

To listen:

We have combined technology and history and the result is very impressive, especially the 1955 landslide. – Geneviève Dubois, Mayor of Nicolet

Financed thanks to the financial support of the Cultural Development Agreement and Heritage Canada, this circuit could be improved over the years.
