What is Google Sheets Calendar?

The Google Sheets calendar is a calendar created from the Google Sheets spreadsheet. It is a calendar that can be shared online or printed and used in physical format.

Google Sheets also allows you to collect events, calculate time spent, associate an event with a project, and create custom reports.

There are 2 ways to create a calendar on Google Sheets. You can create your calendar from scratch or use an already existing template.

Use a third-party template

The Google Sheets table offers calendar templates with many options. Start by opening a new file in Google Sheet or type “sheets.new” into your search engine to automatically open a blank file.

Then click “File”. Hover over “New” and select “From Template Gallery”. Then select the model that interests you. It should be noted that the selected model can be customized.

Create a calendar from scratch

To create a calendar from scratch, first open a new file. Then remove any extra columns, since for a calendar you only need seven columns representing the seven days of the week.

To do this, hold down the Ctrl key and select the columns from H to Z. Then right-click to access the context menu and select “Delete Selected Columns”.

Enter a four-digit month and year in cell A1 (first column, first row). Then, hold down the Ctrl key and individually select cells in rows A1 through G1. Enter “Format” in the top menu and place the cursor on “Merge Cells” and select “Merge All”.

In lines A2 to G2, enter each day of the week. Then fill in your month. Then you can copy and paste your month below to create multiple months or paste it into a new sheet.

Customize your calendar

Once you have created your calendar, you can customize it according to your preferences. You can format the font, merge cells or resize fields.

It is also possible to add events, holidays, birthdays or other events to your calendar. To do this, simply insert text into the square corresponding to the day in question.

Go to the Google Calendar page and click the + symbol in the “Other Calendars” menu and select “Create a Calendar”. After filling in the name of this, confirm by clicking “Create Agenda”. Then return to the previous page by clicking the left-facing arrow next to the “Settings” menu.

Then place your cursor on the name of the calendar, click on the three dots in front of the name and then select “Share settings”. Go to the “Share with specific people” section, click “Add contacts”, specify the e-mails of these contacts and define the rights for each one.
