Influenza: the epidemic made official in mainland France

It’s official, a flu epidemic has settled in mainland France, with an early arrival compared to last year.

On this Wednesday, the health authorities formalized the arrival of a seasonal flu epidemic in metropolitan France. Brittany and Normandy in particular are affected, and in the regions of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France and of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, the situation is “pre-endemic”.

Influenza epidemic: more than 50% more visits to the emergency room
