More Google Ad crashes and issues

The past few weeks have seen several issues with Google Ads Manager, specifically affecting publishers, and an incident dating back to August 31.

The original number. On August 31, Google reported an incident that “Google Ad Manager historical report metrics appear lower than expected for some networks. There is no clear impact on service or data transfer at this point.

Fast forward to this week. Yesterday Google reported an additional issue “We are investigating reports of an issue with Google Ad Manager. We will provide you with more information shortly. Affected users can access Google Ad Manager, but see error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior.

Additionally, they provided the following update to the August 31 incident “Ad Manager reporting statistics remain fixed, with all new data since September 1 (PDT) being reported accurately. We are working to correct the affected data (duration of the issue: August 30, 8:00 PM PDT until August 31, 5:00 PM PDT). Our current ETA to have it repaired is September 23.

We have received reports from several publishers where posts were under-delivered around September 15th and it may be related to this incident. Engineering is investigating and we will provide more details today. »

Later in the day. Around 7:00 UTC, Google reported that “the reporting workaround that was introduced on September 13 to mitigate missing statistics for this incident impacted the budget extractor causing under-delivery in a few positions. A service patch has been released and will be released shortly (PDT EOD expected). This issue potentially only affects positions that meet these two criteria:

1. The line item was active during Disaster 8/31 (PDT) and after Workaround Patch 9/13 (PDT).

2. One or more of the following specific changes were made to the statistics incident on or after 8/31 (PDT): date duration, actual budget target, and delivery speed.

September 21. Today Google released an update “We expect to resolve the issue affecting a majority of Google Ad Manager users on September 24, 2022 at 6:59 UTC. Please note that this time frame is an estimate and may change. Affected users can access Google Ad Manager, but may not have access to the most recent data.
