Morocco, the most searched keyword on Google

According to the latest Google trends associated with Morocco, the national team is the most searched for the 2022 World Cup in the world. For example, 90% of Kenyans have searched for information about Atlas Lions in the past week. Interest for the keyword “Morocco” peaked at 4,700% during the quarter-final match between Morocco and Portugal, won by the Atlas Lions (1-0). Google says Portugal, Argentina, Brazil and Croatia are also on the list.

In a statement, Google said that search data shows that there has also been interest in the duel between Morocco and France. The names “Achraf Hakimi”, “Yassine Bounou”, “Hakim Ziyech”, “Sofiane Boufal” and “Sofyan Amrabat” are the most sought after.

In Morocco, fans sought to know more about the time (Moroccan) when the national team will play against France. They also wanted to know what schedule the French team plays under and how many matches the Moroccan national team plays against France.
